- Q?How Do You Decide What To Do First?
-
A.
We look at your entire business and ask some important questions. Who is your customer? How are you finding and communicating with them? Until we have some good answers to those questions there is no sense in doing a lot more. We are able at that point to really look at what you have in the way of digital media, then make adjustments and come up with a strategy. Once decided upon, we’ll do some testing to see what kind of feedback we get and make the appropriate “tweaks.” Once we have things working the way we would like, we’ll put the foot on the gas and get things moving.

- Q?I Don’t Understand How to Make this All Work
-
A.
You don’t have to, that’s what Be First is here for. Many companies just do not have the resources in the way of human capital and expertise to develop and deploy a social media and PR strategy into the market place. Many who have tried it, find themselves falling way behind the curve and are unable to manage what it is that they created. In addition they grow at a very slow rate. Where is the bang for the buck? Why not have someone grow it for you, while at the same time, marketing, promoting and building your following at the same time.

- Q?Why Is Social Media Such a Big Deal?
-
A.
For an individual, pretend for a minute that you belong to a country club, a social organization, a church and two professional groups in your area. On top of that you are also a person involved in your community at some level. You get together in these groups sometimes once, or even several times a month. Each time you do, you interact with those in those groups. In some cases it’s all business, in others it’s all social, in many cases it’s both. You get advice or direction, you find referrals for service providers whether it be a baby sitter or an accountant. In addition each of these groups has a bulletin board where you can post announcements, or requests for help, whatever. You can post whatever you want including your own contact information in the event that you want to offer praise or criticism.
For businesses it’s a little bit different but much the same. All the above still applies, however, you now have a suggestion box, that is indeed a bulletin board as well. The great thing about this suggestion box is that everyone sees it and can comment. Conversely the bad thing about this suggestion box is that everyone can see it and comment, so you better watch it and manage it. Social Media provides a very transparent way to see how a company handles it’s customer service when it comes to complaints and feedback. The other thing it does is allows companies to grow ardent supporters. Fans become Followers who hopefully become Promoters. What’s better than to be having your customers tell everyone how great you are?
Now take all this from a local perspective and make it virtual. On the personal side you can decide who you want and who you don’t want. On the business side it’s not quite that easy as people that are excluded are usually not happy for that being done to them.

- Q?Do I need to already have my own website or established social media accounts?
-
A.
No, but it helps to have some starting point. We have the capabilities to take an organization at any level and put together a plan to start getting them noticed. While most companies do have a website, many times it’s just not getting the job done and often times needs a little facelift or some work must be done on positioning and messaging. What good is it to send a lot of traffic to a site that is of poor quality? This is something that many companies over look. Also why would you want to keeps sending potential customers to a site that is not converting, for whatever the reason. It’s all about getting the message to your customer. The same goes for social medial Some companies put up profiles on all the major sites without a real strategy of how to handle fans and followers. This can create more bad will than goodwill, no one likes to be ignored. It’s better to have a good strategy for all these areas the putting together a plan and implementing it correctly in the beginning as opposed to “winging it.”
